My friend Pam over at Red Ticking posted about some of her favorite bakeries on her blog. It reminded me of one of my favorites in LaLa land: The City Bakery. This cool NY outpost can be found in the charming red building known as the Country Mart (I love this historic building!) Great for a snack after an afternoon of shopping! Love their yummy cookies. Other great finds: Joan's on Third and Figaro Bistrot.

Just found your wonderful blog! Do you have a favorite bakery in Seattle? Growing up my sister & I would have 'city' days with our mom, grandma and older aunts. Skipping school to hit our favorite Danish bakery downtown Seattle is a memory I'll never forget! One of those life lessons you don't learn sitting at a school desk:)
